Toward interoperable data synchronization with COSMOS
نویسندگان
چکیده
COSMOS is a method for specifying the behavior of a synchronizable data store by modeling the data store as a state machine. Such a model can be used to define a standard for interoperable data synchronization systems, defining the sequence of messages sent and received during synchronization without constraining the implementation of a conforming system. COSMOS models can be collected, studied, and categorized, allowing a synchronization scheme with the properties appropriate for a given application to be selected from a catalog. Alternatively, for preexisting synchronization systems built without a common standard, COSMOS models can serve as a specification for an adapter allowing the systems to interoperate.

Virtual Collaboration and Media Sharing using COSMOS
Collaborative Virtual Environments (CVE) are providing a powerful mechanism to companies, for training staff and customers in their products, improving their productivity, as well as reducing the cost of product development at the same time. Enhanced with their integration with media streams like audio and video, they can become the main way of collaboration among co-workers. But, the realizati...
متن کاملLinear matrix inequality approach for synchronization of chaotic fuzzy cellular neural networks with discrete and unbounded distributed delays based on sampled-data control
In this paper, linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach for synchronization of chaotic fuzzy cellular neural networks (FCNNs) with discrete and unbounded distributed delays based on sampled-data controlis investigated. Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional combining with the input delay approach as well as the free-weighting matrix approach are employed to derive several sufficient criteria in terms of...
متن کاملCooperative Transactions in Interoperable Environments
So far, cooperative transactions and interoperable (multidatabase) transactions are rather independent research topics. On the one hand, various cooperative transaction models have been proposed in the literature. They attempt to weaken the traditional ACID properties to maximize sharing among on-going transactions. On the other hand, researches toward interoperable transaction management have ...
متن کاملSynchronization of diverging versions of a controlled medical terminology
To share clinical data and to build interoperable computer systems that permit data entry, data retrieval, and data analysis, users and systems at multiple sites need a shared clinical terminology. However, local sites that adopt a shared terminology have local needs that prompt local-terminology maintainers to make changes to the local version. Meanwhile, maintainers of the shared terminology ...
